Sarah's Recipe for Romance

Wit, humor, and a hero determined to risk everything to win the heart of the woman he loves... whether he is a Rakish British peer or a sexy US Army Ranger.

The Blogosphere

While I still consider myself a relative newcomer to the world of blogging, in recent weeks I’ve been invited to guest blog/interview on a few neighboring sites. Sometime in the coming months, I’ll be featured on Jauntsetter.com and on Romance Writers on the Journey. I will be sure to post the specific dates these appearances will take place and will of course encourage everyone to visit.

However, these invitations left me pondering the blogosphere.  Each morning I sit down at my computer with a cup of coffee and visit some of my favorite blogs.  Some people read the paper; I read blogs—specifically blogs about or written by romance writers (although I’m a sucker for the travel stories, not to mention travel deals, featured on Jauntsetter.com).

Romance Writers on the Journey is of course one of my stops.  I discovered this site, which features interviews with not-yet-published writers and debut authors, through a fellow Beau Monde member.  The next stops on my morning blog tour often include The Goddess Blogs, Kwana Writes, and the Romance Roundtable.  At The Goddess Blogs, I am always curious to see which author is blogging that day. Today, I thoroughly enjoyed Suzanne Enoch’s St Patty’s Day post. I love how Suzanne created her own holiday, Freedom Day, to commemorate the day she quit her day job to write full time.

At Kwana Writes, I look forward to the daily updates on her adorable dog named Jack, which sometimes includes pictures.  And last, but certainly not least, the Romance Roundtable often features guest bloggers as well as insightful, humorous posts.  Be sure to stop by on “Wacky Wednesdays,” I’m still in stitches over the deer on the wedding cake post.

What are your favorite blogs?  Are there any that you would recommend adding to my morning blog tour?

I’m a new member of the Romance Roundtable! Thanks for mentioning us in your post. :)

I think my next stop will be to check out the other blogs you talked about…Oh, but first I want to read the excerpt of your book, The Virtuous Courtesan.

    Thanks again!

    Christiana.

Hi Sarah, thanks for the Romance Roundtable mention! It’s wonderful that you enjoy our blog.

I have a quite a few blogs that I enjoy, that’s it’s usually not possible to visit everyday – but I get there when I can. The Romance Bandits (http://romancebandits.blogspot.com/) is a great blog – always entertaining. Lori Brighton (http://www.loribrighton.blogspot.com/) has interesting guests and I’ve found several new authors to read from there, and even won a book! Alice’s Restaurant (http://aliceaudrey.wordpress.com/) is another really good blog – check out Fridays there with her serial, Suzie’s House, or Saturdays with the episodes of Jack and Jill (they’re a hoot!). If you like history posts, Mr. Al has a spot there every Wednesday giving us his unique twist on the Prince Regent!

Ladies from the Romance Roundtable, thank you all for visiting my blog! And thanks for taking the time to read my excerpt. I’m currently searching for an agent/publisher but will sure to keep you updated on when the VC will be in print.

  7. Hi Sarah!!! We’re tickled pink you enjoy the Roundtable. Tks for your visits, we love having you.

The Addison/Campbell case is mind boggling. Not only because she succeeded but how thoroughly… I hope you post new info if you find it.

The Virtuous Courtesan and Courting Scandal sound great. Good luck with the Agent/Publisher hunt. I want to read them!!!

Hi Sarah, I’ll back up the ladies, thanks for mentioning RRT. Romance Bandits is a mega treat, as well as Lori Brighton. One of my favorite blogs, besides Romance Roundtable, is Romance Writer’s Revenge. Then I always make the rounds of Casablanca Authors, Caren Johnson, Bookends, Leah Hultenschmidt’s blog, oh gosh there are so many agent and publisher blogs that I follow. ;)

I had read your excerpts a few weeks back. I’d love to read the Virtuous Courtesan.

Oh and welcome to the blogsphere, it is very addicting.
